Students from Roy High School in Roy, Utah brought hope and encouragement to cancer patients at CommonSpirit Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley by delivering hand-grown daffodils and heartfelt, handmade cards on the first day of spring.
Led by Roy High’s floriculture program, students carefully cultivated each bloom from start to finish, then designed vibrant arrangements to brighten patients’ days. Other students poured their time and care into creating personalized messages, offering words of strength and support to those undergoing treatment. For many, this project carried deep personal meaning, as they honored family members and loved ones impacted by cancer.
This long-standing spring tradition is more than a simple gesture—it’s a powerful expression of compassion, connection, and community. Through their efforts, these students remind patients that they are seen, supported, and not alone, bringing light and hope into a place where it’s needed most.
